What type of driver's license do I need to rent a motorcycle?

To rent a motorcycle with us, you need a valid motorcycle license that's at least one year old.

Will my driver's license be suitable for renting?

A UAE resident would require a valid UAE licence to rent a car, while visitors or tourists from the GCC nations can drive with the license issued by their home countries.
Citizens of the following countries can also rent a car with the driving licence issued by their home countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China.
For all other nationalities, an international driving license is mandatory.

Can someone else drive the motorcycle I rented?

No, only you as the renter are allowed to drive the motorcycle. Insurance does not cover other drivers.

How can I get a discount on rent?

We also have a permanent discount on long-term rentals.
-15% for every 30 days of rent.

What is the minimum and maximum rental period for a motorcycle?

The rental is available from 1 day and is not limited in time.

Is there a mileage limit for motorcycle rentals?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each rental includes 200 km per day.
 If you exceed this limit, an additional charge of 4 AED per extra kilometer will apply.
 The total mileage is calculated based on the full rental period — for example, a 3-day rental includes 600 km.

What is included in the rental price?

The motorcycle and standard equipment provided at handover. Pricing details (rental fee, deposit, mileage limit) are shown during booking and in Schedule A.

Is there a daily mileage limit?

Yes. The standard limit is 200 km/day. Total included mileage equals rental days × 200 km.

What happens if I exceed the mileage limit?

Excess mileage is charged per km above the limit (as stated in the agreement / Schedule A).

What is your fuel policy?

Same-to-same. Please return the bike with the same fuel level as recorded at handover. If not, a fixed refuelling charge applies.

Do you require a security deposit?

Yes. A security deposit is required before handover. It may be used to cover tolls, fines, damages, extra mileage, late return and other charges as per the agreement.

When will I get my deposit back?

Deposit is typically returned within 14 calendar days after the motorcycle is returned and accepted, subject to any pending Salik/fines or claims in official systems.

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

Yes, subject to availability and our cancellation/rescheduling policy. Please contact us as early as possible to minimize charges.

What are toll road charges (Salik in Dubai)?

Dubai uses an electronic toll system called Salik. When you pass through toll gates, a toll fee is automatically registered for the vehicle.

Who pays toll road charges during my rental?

All toll road charges incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility. Toll fees are typically deducted from the security deposit because the vehicle is linked to automatic toll billing.

Who is responsible for traffic fines and violations?

The renter/authorized rider is fully responsible for all traffic fines, penalties, black points procedures, impound charges, parking violations, and any related costs incurred during the rental period.

What if a fine or toll charge appears after I return the motorcycle?

Some tolls and fines may appear later in official systems. If applicable, we may deduct the amount from the deposit or request payment if the deposit is insufficient.

What happens if the deposit doesn’t cover tolls or fines?

If the deposit is insufficient, the renter must pay the outstanding balance upon request (and no later than 24 hours after notice).

Can you deliver motorcycles across the UAE?

Yes, we offer delivery and pickup services across the UAE, subject to location and schedule. Please contact us with your address and preferred time for more details.

Where is RideOn located?

We are based in Ajman and serve Dubai, Abu-Dhabi and other Emirates. Exact handover location is confirmed during booking.

Can I take the motorcycle outside the UAE?

No. Taking the motorcycle outside the UAE is strictly prohibited.

Depending on availability: gloves, extra helmet, phone holder and other riding gear/accessories.

What if I lose a helmet/key/accessory?

Lost items are charged per item as stated in the agreement and can be deducted from the deposit.

Do your motorcycles have GPS tracking?

Yes. Bikes are equipped with GPS/telematics (route tracking, speed monitoring and certain technical parameters) for safety, theft prevention and dispute resolution.

Will you share my data with anyone?

Data may be shared with competent authorities, insurers (if applicable), legal advisors and payment processors only when necessary for compliance, investigations or disputes.
